Training Program
Because the work Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island does is so critical to the well-being of others, we provide a training program for all volunteers.
The training is tailored to the area of volunteering that you choose. For example, all volunteers interested in direct patient care are required to attend a four hour orientation and five hours of additional volunteer training. Our spiritual care, bereavement and Hulitar Inpatient Center volunteers also attend an additional training sessions to better understand the needs of patients who need this assistance. (Each session is different - spiritual is 6 hours, bereavement is 3, and Hulitar is 2.)
